Justine Drake is a culinary powerhouse — a passionate, award-winning content creator, recipe

developer, creative director, food stylist, cookbook author, TV presenter, and beloved

MasterChef SA judge.

With over three decades in the food and lifestyle world, Justine has been shaping tastes and

trends since 1988. From consulting on cutting-edge culinary ideas to creating mouthwatering

recipes, she’s worked with top local and international food and retail brands, leaving her mark

on both plates and pages.

For 17 years, Justine worked as the Group Editor for John Brown Media then as Executive

Content Director at Dentsu Creative SA, collaborating with talented teams across digital and

print for clients like Discovery, Toyota, The Foschini Group, and Pick n Pay.

She’s the brain behind Pick n Pay’s Fresh Living, South Africa’s top-selling food and lifestyle

magazine, and the proud author of ﬁve cookbooks. Her journey has taken her across the

globe, from the sunsets of South Africa to the bright lights of New York, ﬁlming countless food

shows and earning multiple accolades along the way. Most recently, she wrapped up the

latest season of MasterChef SA as a judge, bringing her expertise (and charisma!) to the

screen.

to dive into exciting culinary projects... Whether it’s crafting new recipes, hosting a dynamic
